Faith: A (Big) Honest Conversation

What is FA(B)HC?

Having regularly talked about our own experiences (here), we wanted to share the chance to talk honestly with others about our  faith and spirituality (the good, the bad and the ugly). We've found this so helpful for our own spiritual lives and hope that you may too.

The Details

Monthly, Wednesdays 7-8.30pm, Google Meet

Sign up using the form below.

The Ground Rules:

  1. Confidentiality. What’s said in the group stays in the group (Unless somebody is at imminent risk of serious harm.)

  2. Respect. When I disagree, I try to remain curious.

  3. Personal ownership. I am only responsible for my own journey; I can only know what my experience is.

The Basic Principles….

We value…

  1. Doubting and questioning (as much as - if not more than - answers)

  2. Encountering new experiences and ideas (as much as - if not more than - what we already know)

  3. Difference (as much as - if not more than - what is shared)

  4. Honesty (as much as - if not more than - “correct-ness”).

The Footnote

  • This is not a religious group, a therapy group, a support group or a discussion group - although it may contain elements of each.

  • The facilitators (Tom and James) are trained counsellors and one (James) is also a volunteer chaplain.

  • Please note that we cannot take responsibility for your mental or spiritual wellbeing. This is both because we are limited to what we can offer in an online group, but also because we believe we can never take responsibility for someone else's  soul.

I want this!
