FAQ'S

When are you available and how do I book?

I currently have limited availability. To find out more details or to be put on my waiting list, please get in touch or book an initial session (see below).

How much does it cost?

For a 50-minute online session, the cost  is £85  full price or £45 per hour reduced rate - please just say if the reduced rate would be helpful. Payment is made by bank transfer 24 hours before an appointment.

What if I miss an appointment?

I ask for 24 hours notice if you cannot make a session. Missed sessions or late cancellations will be chargeable.

Do you offer an initial session?

Yes. I offer a free initial 25-minute session which can be booked using my bookings page. This doesn’t commit you to anything - it’s simply an opportunity to explore counselling further.

What should I expect from the sessions?

  • You get a regular, confidential space in which to talk about your life, your thoughts, your feelings. This is yours. For you. It's true that the more you feel able to engage in this, the more you will get out of counselling. Equally, it will always be up to you what you'd like to share each week.

  • I won’t judge. I won’t dismiss. I won’t try to fix things for you. Instead, I will listen attentively to you, trying to understand what it is to live your life and offer this understanding back to you. I will help you to explore your life, thoughts and feelings, so that they begin to make more sense to you. And I will challenge you when I suspect you’ve learned ways to sabotage yourself.

  • This back-and-forth process will open up new ways to survive or thrive which we can then explore putting into practice in your everyday life.

How many sessions will I have?

I can offer short-term and long-term therapy. This ultimately will be your choice and we can discuss what would be best for you together. You may also just want to work in single sessions, booking these as you need them.
